反美者家屬的永久居留權與財富岌岌可危 Green Cards and Assets of Anti-American Relatives in Jeopardy

In his book Smart Power, Joseph Nye argues that America’s greatest strength lies in the global appeal of its democratic lifestyle, followed by its network of allies. However, opportunists have exploited this, leading to the phenomenon where "living in the U.S. is the lifestyle, while opposing the U.S. is the career."

While Democratic strategists identified the source of American soft power, the Democratic politicians have unfortunately failed to convert it into national strength, allowing anti-American foreign actors to continuously drain resources.
The crux of this report focuses on the "relatives" of high-ranking officials rather than the officials themselves. Due to legal constraints, these officials often send family members to the U.S. as a safety net, planning to join them through family reunification after retirement or if they face trouble at home. Once these relatives are apprehended, they lose their legal status and face deportation along with a reentry ban. Consequently, their assets are effectively frozen and rendered inaccessible.
Nationality or residency is not a human right, nor is it a civil right; it is a state prerogative. A nation grants it based on its needs and may revoke it at its discretion.

Joseph Nye在「巧實力」一書說道，美國最大的「軟實力」是民主自由生活方式為世界各國所吸引，其次是「盟友」，但這就是讓各國投機人士抓到漏洞，形成「留美是生活，反美是工作」。民主黨智囊雖然辨認出美國的軟實力所在，卻很可惜的政客無法將之轉換為國力，反而被反美的外國人不斷詐取資源。
本報導最重要的關鍵是高官「親屬」，不是高官本人。因為高官本人常為了法令因素，讓家屬赴美作為保障，自己在退休或出事之後，赴美依親。親屬被抓後，就無合法身份滯留美國，於是，遞解出境之外也會被禁止再進入美國，其財產當然實質上凍結而無法運用。

國籍或居留權，不是人權，也不是公民權，而是國家的特權（prerogative）——國家有需要該給予就給予，覺得該撤銷就撤銷。

本週，三名與伊朗政權有聯繫的伊朗國民在國務卿馬可·盧比奧終止termination其合法永久居民身份後，被聯邦特工逮捕。

賽義德·伊薩·哈希米Seyed Eissa Hashemi、瑪麗亞姆·塔赫馬塞比Maryam Tahmasebi和他們的兒子目前已被美國移民和海關執法局拘留，等待被遣返回國。

伊薩·哈希米是馬蘇梅·埃布特卡爾Masoumeh Ebtekar的兒子，馬蘇梅·埃布特卡爾又名「尖叫的瑪麗」Screaming Mary，是臭名昭著的伊斯蘭武裝分子發言人，該武裝分子於 1979 年衝擊了美國駐德黑蘭大使館，並將 52 名美國人扣為人質長達 444 天。

盧比歐部長也終止了伊朗最高國家安全委員會前秘書阿里·拉里賈尼Ali Larijani之女法蒂瑪·阿爾德希爾Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani-拉里賈尼及其丈夫賽義德·卡蘭塔爾·莫塔梅迪Seyed Kalantar Motamedi的合法身分。阿爾德希爾-拉里賈尼Ardeshir-Larijani和莫塔梅迪Motamedi目前都已離開美國，並被禁止再次入境。

美國國務院對美國國土安全部和美國移民及海關執法局在保障美國人民安全方面持續的合作與夥伴關係表示感謝。
