美國原油對台日韓國安的重要性 The Strategic Importance of U.S. Crude Oil to the National Security of Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea

“Japan funding investments in Alaska and U.S. shale oil fields” has long been known—and Taiwan is doing the same.

For East Asian countries, energy security must circumvent the “Malacca Dilemma.” More precisely, the Malacca Dilemma constitutes a geostrategic asset that the West can leverage to constrain China. In response, China has engaged in island-building in the South China Sea to counter-contain the West (including Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea). For this reason, the United States began aggressively developing shale oil years ago and invited East Asian countries to purchase and participate. This serves both to mitigate the energy risks of its allies and to strategically deter China.
What the author mentions—“a continuous flow of U.S. crude oil being shipped to Japan for storage” and “the United States serving as a distribution hub for crude oil in Asia”—highlights the key terms: “storage” and “distribution hub.” This is the part that was not previously well known. It appears that forward deployment of strategic assets remains a consideration, especially as the People’s Liberation Army has advanced into the Philippine Sea for military exercises.
Once this agreement is signed, China will lose its leverage over Japan’s energy supply. The question then becomes: if a contingency arises in Taiwan, will Japan perceive it as a contingency of its own?

「日本出錢，投資阿拉斯加和美國的頁岩油田」，這是早就知道的，台灣也是如此。
東亞各國的能源安全都要繞過「麻六甲困境」。更精確的說：麻六甲困境是西方可以卡住中國的地緣資產。為此，中國以南海造島反向卡西方（台日韓）。所以，許多年前美國就大力開採頁岩油並邀請東亞國家購買與加入，一方面是解除各盟國的能源風險，一方面也是美國戰略嚇阻中國。
作者所言的「美國原油源源不斷地運往日本本土儲備」與「美國原油在亞洲的集散中心」——關鍵字是「儲備」與「集散中心」，這是原先不知道的部份。看起來，仍有前沿部署戰略資產的考量，因為解放軍已經前進菲律賓海進行演習。
此協議簽署後，中國就喪失卡住日本能源的籌碼了。問題將變成：台灣有事，日本會感覺到有事嗎？

日本高市首相剛剛和美國政府簽下了一份能源生死契。日美「日米原油協力」協議正式達成。

日本直接出錢，砸向阿拉斯加和美國的頁岩油田；作為交換，美國原油源源不斷地運往日本本土儲備。日本甚至要從石油進口國，搖身一變成為美國原油在亞洲的集散中心。

這筆賬日本算得極精。長期以來，中東石油一直是日本的命門。只要荷姆茲海峽出事，日本的工業機器就得停擺。現在，這個命門被移到了美國手裡。

為什麼？

因為在2026年的地緣博弈中，比起動蕩的波斯灣，川普裡的油井才是最硬的硬通貨。“Drill, Baby, Drill”不只是美國的口號。它正在變成整個印太地區的能源防波堤。

中共一直試圖在能源補給線上尋找卡日本脖子的機會，但現在這個藍圖徹底碎了。日本把國家安全和美國的鑽井平台死死焊在了一起。這種基於原油與利潤的盟友關係，比一萬篇外交辭令都要穩固。

真正的國家主權，必須建立在能源自主之上。
