It is reasonable to assume that Terry Gou's recent trip to the United States was intended to gain the impression of recognition and approval from Washington before participating in the KMT candidacy for the 2024 Presidential Campaign. His visit to Japan was also part of his strategic plan.
During his 12-day trip to the United States, he attended few events, such as visiting the Brookings Institution as a visitor, and the visit of the Engineering School of Maryland University, and Harvard's Medical School to conduct business in biomedical technology. He also gave two keynote speeches for the Mountain Jade Science and Technology Association of Taiwan, which were more like business dinners than political events. He did not participate in any political events and did not have the opportunity to meet with US politicians such as governors or congressmen. He returned to Taiwan four days earlier than planned and announced his candidacy.
However, it is unclear why, as a billionaire, Gou does not have a qualified political public relations team. Gou's excessive self-confidence may have caused him to overlook crucial points. His political assets, through the donation of vaccines, were wasted before the presidential election.

Brookings，無異於買票參觀的民眾；去馬里蘭大學工學院、哈佛醫學院，等於是促進生醫科技生意；兩場玉山科技協會演講，算是商業聚餐。
完全不是政治行，也沒取得與美國政治人物的握手機會（州長、國會議員）。提前1/3時間回來，宣布參選。郭台銘，在選總統前就把自己的疫苗資產敗光了。可惜！約略是郭台銘的自我太強。
