Today, reports emerged claiming that Obama is preparing to sue the White House over Trump’s policies, citing human rights violations as the basis. It seems Obama has fired the first shot, with plans to follow up by supporting a congressional impeachment effort against Trump. That photo bombed image, then, may not have been a mere coincidence but rather an opening move of the Democrats against Trump administration.
When it comes to Trump’s policies, we should always wait for the full details and context before passing judgment. However, political battles cannot wait: Obama has already taken action, Democratic lawmakers are pushing for impeachment, European nations are seeing street protests, Taiwan’s Kuomintang party is slamming President Lai Ching-te for inaction, and the stock market is selling off, with investors shifting toward bonds.

美國前總統歐巴馬近日批評美國總統川普第2任期施政，他不認為川普宣布的新關稅「對美國有好處」。他還說，更令人憂心的是白宮侵犯人權，威脅大學和律師事務所。

美國有線電視新聞網（CNN）報導，在川普（Donald Trump）第1任期之前擔任總統的歐巴馬（Barack Obama），尖刻批評川普改造聯邦政府、打擊移民和異議人士，以及恫嚇新聞媒體和律師事務所等行為。

歐巴馬3日在美國漢密爾頓學院（Hamilton College）舉行的1場對談中說：「這是我這一段時間以來首度公開發言，我已經觀察了一段時間。」

他表示：「想像一下，如果我做了（川普現在做的）任何1件事會怎麼樣。」他又說：「那些現在保持沉默的黨派，難以想像他們會容忍我或許多我的前任者做出（和川普）相同的行為。」

歐巴馬進一步表示，他不認為川普宣布的新關稅「對美國有好處」，但他更憂心的是他所說的白宮侵犯人權。

歐巴馬對現場大學生表示：「我更深切擔心的是，大學若不拋棄一些行使言論自由權的學生，就會受到聯邦政府威脅。如果白宮可以對律師事務所說，你們替我們不喜歡的黨派辯護，我們就會把給你們的生意全部抽走，或是實際上禁止你們替人辯護。...這種行為與我們作為美國人的基本守則相違背。」

美國前副總統賀錦麗（Kamala Harris）同日也批評川普，她說她發現川普重返白宮後已經引起「巨大恐懼感」。

賀錦麗表示：「我們正見到（民間）組織保持沉默，我們正看到人們對明顯違憲的威脅投降。這些是我們正在目睹的事，過去幾個月每天在我們的國家發生，可以想見這會製造很大的恐懼感。」
