China's pandemic is something serious. The virus: BA.2, BA.2.2, BA.2.3, BA.2.76, BA.5, BA.5.2, BF.7, etc, are found everywhere in China simultaneously.  Beijing tends to reach its herd immunity within a season.  To do so, the authorities encourage the people to get infected, praising the infection as a patriotic movement of the people.  The herd immunity that Beijing promotes artificially and quickly is at the cost of human lives.  It will be a disaster.
Following Japan's restriction on persons who are from China or who have stayed in China within seven days, Taiwan announced its restriction.
The two-day delay that Japan commences the new rules on December 30th, while Taiwan outsets on January 1st, 2023, signifies Taiwan is a follower; the former is on a week base, while the latter is on a calendar month base.
The restriction of both Japan and Taiwan do not include Hong Kong and Macao, two SARs of China, which may open a leak and add risk for no reason.
Japan's restriction is: "Those entering Japan with symptoms of suspected COVID-19 infection will be tested upon arrival. Furthermore, those who test positive will be required to quarantine at a designated facility," according to the Ministry of Health Labour and Welfare.
On contrary, Taiwan's rules allow the target persons to go home and wait for the result after taking saliva as a sample. Only those PCR result that shows positive shall stay home for self-quarantine.
Taiwan's restriction has a black hole for the COVID-SARS-2.

因應中國疫情升溫，自明(112)年1月1日零時起，加強自中國來臺旅客採檢措施，並配合7天自主防疫及自我篩檢    衛福部 20221228

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(28)日宣布，因應中國疫情升溫，為保障國人健康安全，及早發現確診者連結醫療照護，並防範及偵測高風險變異株，自明(112)年1月1日零時至1月31日(航班表定抵臺時間)，除維持現行不開放中國觀光客來臺之政策外，搭乘自中國4個直航航線，及金馬地區民眾春節交通專案之來臺旅客，入境時須於機場(或港口)配合採集唾液檢體進行PCR檢測，採檢後儘速返回住所進行7天自主防疫及後續自我篩檢，篩檢陽性者依規定進行5+n居家照護及自主健康管理，陽性檢體則後送疾管署昆陽實驗室進行病毒定序。

 

指揮中心指出，隨中國近期調整COVID-19疫情防控措施，加上其疫情資訊不明、感染者有激增情形，目前已有日本、義大利等國家紛紛祭出相應邊境管控措施，加強對中國入境旅客全面採檢、管控航班或其他嚴格措施，預期中國疫情亦可能衝擊我國防疫及醫療量能。

指揮中心進一步說明，COVID-19疫情變化難測，除上述中國加強採檢措施外，其餘入境旅客，入境時或入境前14日內有疑似COVID-19症狀者，仍請主動洽機場(或港口)疾管署檢疫人員，配合健康評估及採集唾液檢體後，於搭車前往住所時，務必全程佩戴口罩及落實手部衛生。

指揮中心強調，所有入境旅客抵臺時領取快篩試劑後，請落實7天自主防疫規定，於入境當天或自主防疫第1天，以及有症狀時進行自我快篩，以維護自身及國人健康；自主防疫期間外出時，需持有2日內快篩陰性結果。篩檢陽性者依規定進行5+n居家照護及自主健康管理。
