The DPP is undergoing revolutionary experimentation - appointing its six
party candidates for the municipalities in 2024. According to the customs and practices of
decades, DPP candidates are from a combined system based on party members'
votes and public surveys.
However, 2022 is very different.
The DPP Chairperson and a few senior officers have the power to appoint almost
all candidates of the municipal administrators in the small room. No one else knows why or how the candidates
are selected and what is traded off. That is
the party's centralization of power.
If the 2022 experiment prevails, the DPP's candidate for the 2024 president
could take the same path. Along with
DPP's centralization of power, Taiwan is retreating from its robust democratic
system.
Some have forgotten how and why due process is vital to democracy and the modern world.
無論是為了某些人，或原因，再如何天大地大的因素，絕對不能杜絕黨員參選的機會。剝削黨員參選的資格，再怎麼說，都說不過去的。所以一旦有任何人表態要參選，就一定需要有初選。除非無人，再採用徵召。
回覆刪除我們這一代人（抱歉，我提高了自己幾歲）的許多人，在那個時代成長，心中憧憬的是開放社會，以及由此產生的多元民主自由。
刪除台灣，幸運的，達到了這點。
但是，因為在成長過程中，並不是人人都有獨立思考的自我鍛鍊，多數人仍是從眾。因此，那種戒嚴時代的慣性，就會在不注意的時候，被洩漏出來—以一種團結對抗外敵的形式，給挾帶出場。
Due process，就是民主與法律的基本價值。
很多人討厭民x黨，就因為他們也是列寧式政黨!所以雲大的擔憂並非空穴來風...

刪除公平的說，徵召，兩黨也有或也是。
但會令民主人心痛的，絕不會是KMT。
