The ROC ceased to exist on October 1st, 1949, which is a fact; while the People’s Republic of China established its rule and the legitimacy based on the same fact. Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek exercised his proxy military occupation authority over Taiwan under the General Order No.1 of the Allies in 1945, which is a fact.
The ROCTW, established in 1950 in Taiwan by CKS, has never been the ROC (1912-1949). They are not identical continuums.
The point is Prof. Chang, as well as former President Ma, seek and insist the ROC of 1912 is an illusion.
How could our daily life, the status of Taiwan and the government be based on illusions, but not facts?

張亞中：蔡英文國慶談話前先確認她是「中華民國」總統     聯合20211009

針對蔡英文總統在雙十國慶將發表的談話，孫文學校總校長張亞中表示，蔡英文身為中華民國總統，不是「中華民國台灣」總統，不是「這個國家」總統，更不是「台灣國」總統，否則就是違憲，依她就職的誓詞，是要接受法律嚴厲的制裁。所以，希望蔡英文在國慶談話中，能夠重新回復做為中華民國總統神聖的使命與責任。

張亞中指出，蔡英文投書「外交事務」（Foreign Affairs）雙月刊，署名為「President of Taiwan」（台灣總統），嚴格來說，這已經違憲了。做為一個中華民國總統，卻不用中華民國國號，嚴重違背中華民國憲法賦予總統神聖的義務。

張亞中希望蔡英文做為中華民國總統在慶祝中華民國國慶的時候，不要忘記她的國家叫中華民國，不是「台灣國」，不是「這個國家」，也不是「中華民國台灣」。如果她不願意做中華民國總統，而要做「台灣國總統」，就請她依宣誓就職的誓詞，接受法律最嚴厲的制裁。蔡英文應立即對其違憲使用「台灣總統」一事說明，在野的中國國民黨也必須有所行動。

針對有關美軍駐台的消息，張亞中質疑，今天的蔡英文政府，是把美國的「臨幸」當「榮幸」嗎？在兩岸關係進入兵凶戰危的危急時刻，蔡英文怎麼還甘願被美國綁在與中國大陸對戰的火車頭上呢？這樣置民眾生死於不顧的作法，不會覺得冷血與殘忍嗎？

張亞中指出，民進黨自2016執政之後，兩岸的交流協商完全斷絕，因此，蔡英文只能扈從美國，甚而讓美國予取予求。美國駐軍的消息，等於讓台灣做為美中對峙的馬前卒，蔡英文竟然還覺得光榮與驕傲，讓人匪夷所思。他說，大陸對台動武的條件，其中一項就是外國勢力的介入干預，難道蔡英文就是要故意觸犯底線，授與大陸武統台灣的藉口與理由嗎？

張亞中表示，在競選黨主席期間，主張兩黨先簽署和平備忘錄，以為兩岸和平創造條件，卻被競選對手抹黑為「紅統」，並以此為理由認為張亞中若當選會「亡黨」。在與新任主席朱立倫會面時，張亞中也當面提出希望黨內能召開會議，表明立場，此事已非個人政治立場，而是中國國民黨對於兩岸政治定位及未來走向的大是大非問題。但迄今遲遲沒有下文，這不僅對國民黨，對今後的兩岸發展將也會有非常不利的影響，因此，再一次呼籲朱立倫主席能儘快有所回應。
