Geologically, Afghanistan is a two-country state. The northern part is composed of the same ethnic groups as its neighboring countries, and the southern part lives the Pashto-language people.  High mountains isolate the two.  The Taliban, an extremist religious group, comes from the south, including Pakistan. 
The U.S. builds a round-the-country highway system, aiming to connect the two as one.  But it becomes a convenient passage to transport the Taliban anywhere in the country once Kabul decreases its control power.
Taliban, literally the student, is an Islamic extremist movement.  Promoting one and simple idea of salvation, the religious extremists are welcomed by the people who are not capable of doing complicated or abstract thinking.  To the people, the idea is a quick answer to get rid of the misery.  All they need is to follow, not to think.  The phenomena apply to the communist rule territories and countries.
Taliban advocates the said idea in the region it occupies.  The extremist movement is not a problem as long as the government holds the jurisdiction power.  But its nature of degrading civilization is devastating if the government corrupts and loses control. 
That is what the Taliban is doing in Afghanistan now.
Most of the Afghanistan people are not well educated and can not reach the civilization things to change a bit.

整理了幾天消息，
"如果同盟國/美軍"要撤軍，其實撤到什麼都不剩，就會是現在這個樣子。理論上，應該盟軍要在阿富汗保持低度存在感，尤其巴格蘭空軍基地絕不可以放棄。這是類似於伊拉克幾年前對抗黑旗國的情況，美軍只有空中支援，讓本地人的軍隊自行擊退外敵。

巴格蘭機場對於俄羅斯或中國，平常沒有事情，但如果這兩國想搞事，這個機場就是芒刺在背。
因為美國的飛機可以利用這個機場中轉，空襲俄羅斯防禦並不嚴密的南側翼，能對老母雞開後門，而且離共軍的核武庫更接近。
這些好處讓美國有理由以這個機場為中心，保持最小限度存在。

喀布爾河谷和巴格蘭這些地方，是阿富汗最富庶開化的地方，同時也是巴格蘭機場的空中打擊範圍。
因此可以建立一個政治上的安全區(安全是相對的，塔利班一定會進來鬧)，讓阿富汗民選政府控制這一小片區域。
然而照阿富汗這個政府的尿性，美國需要建立平行的軍政府來接管"一些事務"，特別是教育和媒體的部份。

民選政府擺爛，那只好用太上政府來壓制和接受民眾投訴了，這很像日本戰後初期的情況，日本內閣還是存在，但頂頭有麥克阿瑟的占領軍政府。
這樣做是長期花費，但是可以避免這個區域的人道危機，和後續的難民四處流竄。

然而阿富汗的基本情況要比日本糟上太多，所以阿富汗的開化，是需要以世代為單位，才有可能持續發展。
如果盟國是像這樣扶不起就跑，對當地的開化居民來說並不公平，這也是為什麼現在的逃難潮影片會震撼世界。

現在這樣放棄發展比較好的東阿富汗，那已開化的人口早晚會被清洗殆盡，讓文明化的進度倒退回零。
最後整個阿富汗又會退回中古時代，間接製造更多的難民，對於那些已經開化的人負起一些盟友的責任，讓他們慢慢發展，再怎麼樣也好過又被塔利班回到政教合一的中古神權要好的多。

最後的結論，阿富汗無論怎麼樣最終大概都要蓋牆，差別是要"蓋給誰"？

如果是同盟國以最小存在感保護阿富汗政府，則安全區週圍應該要設立圍牆，減少從牆外戰亂/非安全區跑進去的恐怖份子和軍火。
其中如果有接觸巴基斯坦邊界，那牆更要蓋，因為塔利班過去被打的抬不起頭的時候，就是躲在巴基斯坦境內發展和療傷。
整個安全區理論上應該要被牆圍成一圈(然後牆常常要修，因為會被想進牆的難民或塔利班破壞)
長期發展，需要開採稀土和建設稀土加工業，輸出稀土的"半成品"外銷來改善這個區域的經濟。

如果是照現在的情況演變過去，則是牆外文明世界最後要修牆，把阿富汗圍起來，與文明世界完全隔開。
