U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee in more precise, as a stakeholder, asked the WHO to offer related documents and records from October 2019 to March 21, 2020. 

The Committee is attempting to make a precedent in which no international organizations, their personnel, and citizens of any country can get rid of moral and legal responsibility.

I do not think that WHO will offer a complete date to the Committee.  Beijing will do countermeasures, such as inviting Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the WHO’s Director-General, to Beijing to receive warm welcome appreciations.

新型冠狀病毒（COVID-19，下稱武漢肺炎）疫情自2019年爆發至今，全球已有逾197萬人感染。世界衛生組織（WHO）鮮明的親中立場遭到外界抨擊是協助北京政府隱匿疫情。美國數名共和黨參議員14日聯名致函WHO秘書長譚德塞，要求他27日前交出相關防疫情資料、通聯記錄，以利美方舉行聽證會。

WHO在防疫期間屢次慢半拍的表現，被質疑是加劇全球疫情的幫兇。

共和黨籍參議員楊恩（Todd Young）、史考特（Rick Scott）、強森（Ron Johnson）、麥克薩利（Martha McSally）等7人共同致函譚德塞等WHO多名高層，要求提供自2019年10月至2020年3月21日之間，與武漢肺炎疫情相關的資料。

美國媒體《Axios》指出，這份信件中提出的問題包含，

WHO最早何時派人抵達中國調查疫情、

誰負責協調WHO調查與中國共產黨的往來、

WHO高層是否有收過薪水之外的金錢補償，並且

要求WHO提供2019年底至2020年初中國和WHO領導階層的往來資料。

兼任參議院國土安全與政府事務委員會（Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee）主席的強森（Ron Johnson），13日接受《Politico》訪問時表示，將針對武漢肺炎大流行進行廣泛調查，包含WHO在協助中國隱瞞疫情上扮演何種角色，以及病毒在初期如何傳播，調查重點聚焦中國和WHO。

強森說，要知道WHO在試圖隱匿疫情一事上扮演何種角色。他認為，如果美國在一開始能更快速地獲得疫情資訊，可以更快速地開發出實驗室病毒篩檢。

該委員會成員、參議員史考特14日透過推特指出，「共產中國繼續說謊，隱藏消息並逃避批評。中國共產黨必須對造成全球許多無辜者失去性命的行為負責。」
