There are mass protests in Puerto Rico, a U.S. overseas territory, against the corruption and incompetence of the governor Ricardo Rosselló and his colleagues.

The point might be the attitude of the White House.  President Trump wrote in his Twitter

“A lot of bad things are happening in Puerto Rico.  The Governor is under siege, the Mayor of San Juan is a despicable and incompetent person who I wouldn’t trust under any circumstance, and the United States Congress foolishly gave 92 Billion Dollars for hurricane relief, much....”

“....of which was squandered away or wasted, never to be seen again.  This is more than twice the amount given to Texas & Florida combined.  I know the people of Puerto Rico well, and they are great.  But much of their leadership is corrupt, & robbing the U.S. Government blind!”

Elizabeth Warren, a senior United States Senator from Massachusetts, who announced her candidacy in the 2020 United States presidential election, said in Twitter “I stand with Puerto Ricans who are taking to the streets this week to protest government corruption & Governor @RicardoRossello's deeply offensive comments.  His actions are hurtful & undermine the public trust.  He must answer to the Puerto Rican people.”

Let’s see what will happen once the governor lost the trust from the White House.

羅塞洛（Ricardo Rossello）在臉書張貼影片說：「我已經聽了你們的聲音，我今天也正在聆聽。我犯過錯，我也道了歉。」

「我承認光是道歉不夠，所以，我宣布明年不會尋求總督連任。」他還說，會離開新進步黨（New Progressive Party）黨主席位置。

羅塞洛也說，會以「負責任的態度，真心誠意地」面對議會正在研究的彈劾程序。

前總督賈西亞（Alejandro Garcia Padilla）告訴美國西語電視台世界電視台（Telemundo），羅塞洛「是在爭取時間，看抗議會不會慢慢落幕」。

今天數以百計民眾聚集在總督官邸前，呼喊「他們阻止不了我們」等口號，並高舉「瑞奇（羅塞洛）辭職」標語。

加密通訊軟體Telegram聊天內容上週外洩，羅塞洛和另11名男性政府成員在聊天中批評官員、政治人物和媒體記者。

波多黎各警方傍晚使用催淚瓦斯，驅散在首都聖胡安（San Juan）示威者；他們大喊：「瑞奇（羅塞洛）貪腐！」這是當地第3天舉行抗議活動，也有人質疑瑞奇‧羅塞洛（Ricardo "Ricky" Rossello）處理颶風瑪莉亞（Hurricane Maria）和這座島嶼的金融危機不當。
