In fact, the Catalonia was a country of Spain
Empire with the “composite
monarchical” system.
Besides, there were an autonomous "Catalan
Republic within the Iberian Federation" in 1931 and "Catalan State
within the Spanish Federal Republic" in 1934.
The Catalan independence referendum was transformed
into a “non-referendum popular consultation” due to the suspension decision
by the Constitutional Court of Spain on 29 September, 2014.
Legally, it is a “Citizen Participation Process,”
where not only the citizens of Catalonia, but all the residents, including the foreigners,

回覆刪除For this to ever happen on Formosa, a civil government representative of the former Formosan Japanese's offspring needs to take shape. But Formosan political elites are up to their gills in the "vibrant democracy" mess orchestrated by Chinese Taihoku.
My own source of insight into the issue says that the main beef the Catalans have is that, as engine of the economy of Spain, the proceeds from their income taxes are funneled to less well-off areas of Spain kept on life support. Is a Barcelona tea party in the cards?
