With
prior experience and a four-year break, Trump 2.0’s policies are expected to be
swift and forceful, making it hard for countries worldwide—including both
allies and adversaries—to adjust.
Trump appears to be reassessing the foundations the United States established
during the two World Wars of the 20th century, reorganizing them to restore
America’s dominant superpower status—refusing to allow any nation to stand as
its equal.
One major question, which few seem to have considered, is this: How will
large-scale deportation of undocumented immigrants from Central and South
America avoid creating a labor shortage at the lower levels, which could drive
up the cost of goods and services and ultimately harm the economy?
The answer has already been unfolding right before our eyes.
