The vindication of the Comfort Woman in the Pacific War, which the Asahi Shimbun and Korean government accused of a long time, is a critical step in lifting the ban of Japan.  The Imperial Army of Japan paid apparent high remuneration to the female who served the soldiers.  That is prostitution. 
The same government did the same thing convening the “Pan-pan girls” for the Allies occupation forces.  S. Korean government did similar things in the Vietnam War.
Another taboo on Japan, which the Chinese government described in an exaggerated way that the death estimates up to 300,000, is the Nanjing Massacre started on December 13, 1937, is waiting for vindication for the scale.
