Leaders of the world are seeking the possibility to claim compensations against China, for they were forced to pay a lot of budgets to cure the people during the Wuhan pneumonia pandemic that originated in China.

Geng Shuang, Chinese Deputy Director of the Foreign Ministry Information Department, asserted that it was a misconception to claim against China.  Geng added, "the enemy is the virus, not China."

The CCP elites are good at disguising issues.

The claims are due to Beijing’s covering-up the break-out of the Wuhan pneumonia, not sharing related information, preventing international investigations, etc.

There is no "enemy" in the pandemic only if people do their best to prevent it from happening or from spreading. 

The virus is not the "enemy," indeed, if it is born naturally. 

People should compensate for what they have encroached others' legitimate rights. 

It is CCP that needs to pay the price.

中國武漢肺炎疫情肆虐全球，美國要求中國賠償的呼聲日漸高漲，中國外交部發言人耿爽今（20）日表示，全世界過去也曾爆發H1N1流感，但有誰要美國賠償嗎？耿爽表示，「敵人是病毒，不是中國」。

根據《環球時報》報導，中國外交部發言人耿爽今主持例行記者會，提及美方要求中國針對武漢肺炎疫情進行賠償，耿爽說，面對重大的公共衛生危機和傳染病威脅，國際社會應當團結協作同舟共濟，「而不是相互指責，甚至叫囂什麼追責、索賠，我不記得國際上有過類似的做法。」

耿爽稱，美國2009年大面積爆發H1N1流感，還蔓延到214個國家和地區，導致近20萬人死亡，但當時有誰要美國賠償嗎？美國20世紀80年代首見愛滋病，有誰找美國究責嗎？耿爽還提到與疫情無關的雷曼兄弟事件，在當時引發金融危機，「有誰要求美國為此承擔後果了嗎？」

耿爽強調，美方必須要清楚，敵人是病毒，不是中國，國際社會只有團結合作，才能戰勝病毒，一再攻擊抹黑他國，不能挽回浪費的時間和逝去的生命，中方希望美方的這些人尊重事實、尊重科學，尊重國際公論，停止對中國的無端攻擊指責，停止發表不負責任的言論，多聚焦國內防疫，多推動國際防疫合作。
