This is Chinese Tradition that there is no one who are not the subjects of Chinese Emperor.  No wonder Meng Hongwei, the Chinese Chairperson of INTERPOL, “was disappeared.”

Should we worry about his organs being transplanted to elsewhere?

Beijing once regarded Meng’s duty in INTERPOL an excellent chance to to fight corruption for Xi.  It is illogical for Meng to be disappeared.

消息人士今天(5日)表示，國際刑警組織(Interpol)主席、中國公安部副部長孟宏偉上星期據報失蹤，法國警方已經展開調查。

消息人士說，孟宏偉最後一次被看到是9月底的時候，他離開位於法國東南部里昂(Lyon)的國際刑警組織總部，前往中國。隨後他的太太報案，說孟宏偉失蹤。

消息人士向法新社表示，孟宏偉並不是在法國失蹤。根據歐洲的報導，孟宏偉是在9月29日離開法國。

孟宏偉在2016年11月當選國際刑警組織主席時，是中國公安部副部長，批評者說，這是中國秘密警察的主管。

孟宏偉是國際刑警組織第一個中國籍主席，這項工作可以連結192個會員國的執法部門。不過，國際刑警組織的幹員並沒有逮捕權。

北京將孟宏偉的當選主席視為一次良機，在追蹤包括貪污在內的經濟罪犯方面，可以獲得更多國際協助。而打貪是中國國家主席習近平的重要政績之一。

但是，這項被稱為「獵狐行動(Operation Fox Hunt)」的政策，導致一些國家宣稱，中國的執法人員，在沒有獲得各國當局同意下，就在各國境內展開執法行動。

自從這項行動展開以來，中國已經以包括「嚴重違反紀律」等罪名，逮捕並起訴了多名高官，而這項罪名經常就是指貪污、受賄。

孟宏偉的任期預定在2020年才屆滿。

INTERPOL’s current President is Mr Meng Hongwei, elected at the 85th session of the INTERPOL General Assembly held in Bali in November 2016. Mr Meng, of Chinese nationality, will serve as President until 2020.

Vice Minister of Public Security in China, Mr Meng has almost 40 years’ experience in criminal justice and policing, having overseen affairs related to legal institutions, narcotics control, counter-terrorism, border control, immigration and international cooperation.

Mr Meng has held several positions in the Ministry of Public Security including Director of the Patrol Police Division, Director-General of the Traffic Control Department, Assistant Minister, and Vice Minister.

He has also served as Vice Chairman of the National Narcotics Control Commission, Director of the National Counter-Terrorism Office, and Member of the Chinese Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Regional Counter-Terrorism Structure. He also serves as Director-General of the China Coast Guard.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in law, Mr Meng is Head of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau of China.
