By listing solid pieces of evidence in the letter, the U.S. President Trump accused of the errors, delayings, and covering-ups that the WHO and Tedros have done under its pro-China mindset.
These will certainly be becoming political pressures on the WHO and Tedros personally.
President Trump further reminded Tedros of the efforts WHO and then Director-General Harlem Brundtland to contrast what Tedros could have done in the Covid-19 pandemic.
Trump accused Tedros by saying that more lives could be saved if the WHO had done its job in normal ways.
President Trump did not hesitate to explicit the anger of the U.S. in the letter. The news reported that Tedros has admitted some errors.
But the calling for the investigation began.
China Chairman Xi promised to contribute a new two billion dollar "conditional donation" in two years in his opening remark to the WHA 57 telephone meeting.
The "conditional donation" aimed to prevent the establishment of the independent investigation of the Covid-19 pandemic, which originated in Wuhan.
However, it will be 2022, the year Xi’s legal term, as well as his promise, expires.
Will Xi and Beijing honor the promise?
What is the point to accuse Xi after his term? Xi might think so.
Who, Xi’s successors, will keep the promise since Xi steps down in 2022?
Tedros is possible to quit his job before the end of his ten-year term.
Ironically, Xi will feel easy if Tedros resigns. He then has every reason not to pay the "conditional donation."
